چکیده

Condition monitoring and preventative maintenance are essential for reliable efficient operation of permanent magnet synchronous machines driven by inverters. There two types industrial inverter drives available: field oriented control direct torque control. Their compensation nature structure distinct and, therefore, the condition approach designed former may not be applicable to latter one. In this paper, we investigate Motor Voltage Signature Analysis both under healthy faulty conditions. Four typical fault conditions addressed: turn-to-turn short circuit, high resistance contact, static eccentricity, local demagnetization. High fidelity cosimulation is developed coupling finite element machine model with drives. The spectral elements commanded stator voltage utilized as indicators supervised classification identify, categorize, estimate severity faults. Linear discriminate analysis, k-nearest neighbor, support vector techniques used. Results indicate that based on performs adequately in Nevertheless, scheme does exhibit satisfactory performance owing nonlinear characteristics tolerance drive.

Fault-Tolerant Voltage Source Inverter for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

A two level fault tolerant voltage sourse inverter(VSI) for permanent magnetic drives is designed and tested. Generally a two level inverter consists of three legs. In this case an extra (redundant ) leg is added that replaces the fault leg. Extra leg is added by using by back to back connected thyristor this inverter works on both open circuit and short circuit fault. The main advantage is pos...

Adaptive Voltage-based Control of Direct-drive Robots Driven by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

Tracking control of the direct-drive robot manipulators in high-speed is a challenging problem. The Coriolis and centrifugal torques become dominant in the high-speed motion control. The dynamical model of the robotic system including the robot manipulator and actuators is highly nonlinear, heavily coupled, uncertain and computationally extensive in non-companion form. In order to overcome thes...

Space-Vector PWM Inverter Feeding a Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor

The paper presents a space-vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) inverter feeding a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The SVPWM inverter enables to feed the motor with a higher voltage with low harmonic distortions than the conventional sinusoidal PWM inverter. The control strategy of the inverter is the voltage / frequency control method, which is based on the space-vector modulation ...
